Amber Moyer is the founder and owner of Tupelo Mississippi’s Shear Envy Salon. With 20 years of expertise in the hair industry, her clients would argue that her greatest strength is that of superior customer service. Moyer trained at Foster’s Cosmetology School located in Ripley, Mississippi. Hoping to become an expert on hair color, she quickly won an award for “Most Color Sales” in her region at Smart Style Salon where her career began— a milestone she would quickly outpace.

Now, Moyer prides herself on keeping up with current trends and techniques. Her ever evolving education is sharpened by trade shows and hands-on classes. Her love of learning has afforded her the opportunity to become an educator for an international color company called Pulp Riot. She has traveled throughout the United States in classrooms and trade shows teaching hair color theory and placement techniques. Being able to share her passion with others and helping them grow in this ever changing industry was a dream of hers from the start of her career. Moyer’s skills range from blonding, corrective color, vibrant color, gray coverage, balayage, textured hair, Sahag dry hair cuts, Keratin complex, and Brazilian Blowout straightening systems. She also specializes in Habit hand-tied hair extensions, airbrush tanning, and more.

She told herself from the beginning she never wanted to become complacent in her career. Moyer has since been published in international magazines, participated in NYFW, and has been recognized globally in 2021 for her hair coloring skills at the Behind The Chair OneShot hair awards, winning best Pastel hair color out of 350,000 entries world wide. Moyer says her biggest accomplishment of all is being able to make a difference in how her clients feel about themselves
while they are in her chair.
